One way to solve this problem is to take a screenshot of the annotated image and save it to your desktop. If annotations were added with OneNote tools, it would not move with the image. For some reason you have to move that image, but you can't unless annotations have been added before adding the image to the note. Let's say you've annotated an image and it's safely stored within a note in OneNote. Move the annotated image in OneNote later Just right-click on the container with the annotated image and select the Copy link to paragraph option. Now I can annotate the image and link it. I have inserted the image on the left with the relevant text on the right. You can write or insert things anywhere you want, instantly creating a container that you can then move or link from the same note or a different note.
That's one of the many things I love about OneNote.
You can then link to the container where the image is located. You can insert the image on the same note but in a position or location where you will not have to move it later preferably in a corner or at the bottom or top of the note.
